My name is Dr. Madelyn Cave, and I have the pleasure of being the principal at Springville High School. I’ve been married to my husband, Allen, since 1997, and we have two adult children Garrett (married to Myra) and Abigail. I am originally from Brewton, Alabama, have lived in Springville since July 2025, and I love this community.

My career in public education began in 1997 in Hoover after I graduated with a B.A. in Elementary Education from Furman University. I taught 7^th grade English Language Arts at Brewton Middle School for almost 7 years before becoming an Instructional Coach and Assistant Principal. I received my M.A. from Alabama State University, my Ed.S. from Troy University, and my Ed.D. from Liberty University, all in the area of Instructional Leadership and Administration. I have been a school administrator since 2012.

I am proud to be a Springville Tiger and love to celebrate and ROAR for my students and staff! This school is a special place with outstanding programs and opportunities for our students to thrive. Our programs are an extension of the TIGER Code in action, whether on the field, the stage, or the classroom. Great things are happening here at SHS, and I am grateful to be a part of it! Go Tigers!
